Help shape Spokane's transportation future! |
Welcome!
The City of Spokane and the Spokane Transit Authority are working together to study a high performance transit
service that will connect major activity centers within the central city area. This project will compare several
options such as streetcar, bus rapid transit, light rail, personal rapid transit, and others.
Goals for the project
One of the goals for the project is to help create a vibrant central city, by encouraging new development while
supporting local and regional land use goals, objectives and plans. The project will also compare the environmental
impacts of the transit options and look at ways to increase regional resources and transit mobility. At the end of
the project, the finished product will be a single preferred alternative that can be submitted for federal funding
sources and proceed into design work. Essentially, this plan will create a blueprint for transit that will help to guide
future development in Spokane.
Get Involved
The project will be studying and comparing different options, while collecting information and comments from you, the
public! Stay involved in the project by
